Toa of Air

Feeling a bit old school this week. Lewa has always been my favorite Bionicle Toa, both from a design standpoint and as a character. I got out my old friend, assembled him, photographed for reference, and within a few hours he came to life on my desktop. I decided to go with a design that was faithful to the toy but with a few liberties (more individual pieces and moving parts than the plastic version). So I'm a big space junkie. Grew up on Star Wars and love pretty much any film, comic or video game centered around space travel; no surprise there. I came up with a space babe in an old-looking style suit. There's something about science fiction/fantasy that just looks and feels better when it's a bit dated (for 3052 anyway!).
